Enterprise Solutions: IMAGE (Integrated Marketing Administration & Governing Engine)

Problem Domain: One of the leading cable manufacturing company in India was looking to integrate their corporate office with the company's factory at the outskirts of Kolkata, India and its Head office at Kolkata, India and well as all the sales offices spread across India. There was a crucial need for cost monitoring, real-time analysis of market identification, handling customer enquiry with the technical department and providing accurate quoting ranges for customized project requirements, communication with factory and inspection handling by party, dispatch and billing.

Analysis: In order to provide integrated solution to the company's need, the IMAGE was proposed, developed and implemented. The application takes care of enquiry to quotation to order acceptance to production through inspection, dispatch & billing. This application also takes care of different stages of the billing, collection, Bank Guarantee requisitions as well as bad debt and outstanding monitoring.

Solution: J2EE was used to develop the solution and access was restricted to company's departmental intranet user through Java(Swing) based applications. A web interface was also developed to communicate with external actors such as shipping agent and transporters. The client being ISO certified all ISO specific events are monitored and ISO reports generated. Integration with legacy application and its datastore with Weblogic server.
